Impact Resistance Test

Light Travel performs impact resistance testing without a tire. This creates a more direct rim-impact condition than normal riding with a tire installed.

Category test levels

● Road wheels: 80J

● MTB wheels: 100J

● DH-30: 200J

The DH-30 test level is 2x the MTB level and 2.5x the road level, reflecting the higher impact demands of downhill use.

For the rider, this makes the test meaningful by category. A road rim, MTB rim, and downhill rim are not tested as if they face the same riding conditions.
