Wheel Building Test

Light Travel verifies rim quality through full hand-built wheel assembly. During the build, the technician checks inner wall smoothness, drilling angle, nipple bed reinforcement, spoke tension after stress relief, and final wheel trueness. The wheel is inspected for bulges or cracks around the nipple bed.

Build standard

 Drilling angle: ±6°

Total wheel runout requirement: below 0.3 mm

Result vs. standard

Final radial runout: below 0.2 mm

Final lateral runout: below 0.2 mm

The tested WR25-50 wheel finished at least 33% tighter than Light Travel’s stated runout requirement.

The rider receives a true, tensioned wheel with no cracks or deformation around the spoke holes.
