LTC PEAK 1.9g
This spoke is fabricated from continuous carbon fiber reinforced with high-performance PAEK resin matrix, delivering outstanding mechanical properties, superior corrosion resistance and high-temperature resistance.
Conventional epoxy-based composites are constrained by limited temperature resistance and poor recyclability. Thermoplastic composites represented by PAEK mark a major technical breakthrough. The T700/PEEK composite retains 92% of its strength after 10⁶ cyclic load cycles, demonstrating excellent anti-fatigue performance.
In addition, thermoplastic substrates are recyclable, aligning with the trend of green manufacturing for composites. It avoids the environmental drawbacks of epoxy carbon composites, which are difficult to recycle and mostly disposed of via incineration.
A low-viscosity resin system enables molecular-level thorough impregnation of carbon fiber tows with uniform fiber coating, solving the common poor wetting issue of traditional thermoplastics. Stable interfacial bonding forms between resin and carbon fiber, boosting the interlaminar shear strength of the composite by over 30% and overcoming the weakness of insufficient interlaminar performance in conventional composites. The high-strength and high-modulus characteristics of carbon fiber are fully utilized, enabling the finished spokes to achieve lightweight design while balancing high stiffness and excellent toughness.
Durability Advantages in Diverse Environments
Excellent Chemical Resistance
The composite maintains stable performance in acidic, alkaline, saline and high-humidity environments, suitable for riding in rainy, snowy, coastal salt-fog conditions and eliminating corrosion risks.
Galvanic Corrosion Barrier
The insulating PAEK resin matrix effectively blocks the galvanic corrosion path between carbon fiber and metal fittings, securing long-term structural stability of wheel sets.
Reliable Performance Over Wide Temperature Range
Testing within -30℃ ~ 80℃ reveals less than 5% performance degradation, suitable for outdoor riding under all kinds of extreme climates.
Mechanical Load Specifications
Static ultimate breaking load: >420 Kgf (>4120 N)
Minimum factory acceptance load: 320 Kgf (3140 N)
