Light Travel Carbon Wheel Rim Limited Warranty

Product Group: This Limited Warranty applies to all Ultra Light Pro Series carbon fiber rims/wheels manufactured and sold by Light Travel.

Coverage: Light Travel warrants the original purchaser that its Ultra Light Pro Series rims will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 5 (five) years from the original date of purchase.

What This Warranty Covers (Included)

1. Replacement for Manufacturing Defects: Light Travel will, at its sole option, repair or replace any Ultra Light Pro Series rim found to have a defect in materials or workmanship under normal intended use during the warranty period.

3. For defects found within the first 30 days from the delivery date, Light Travel will cover the costs of replacement rim(s) and two-way shipping.
4. For defects found after 30 days and within the 5-year warranty period, Light Travel will cover the cost of the replacement rim(s). The customer is responsible for all associated shipping costs.
5. Product Evolution & Upgrades: If the specific rim model originally purchased is no longer available, Light Travel reserves the right to replace it with a rim of equal or greater value, which may be a newer equivalent model or a heavier-duty version within the Ultra Light Pro series, at no additional charge.
6. Warranty Claim Process: Valid warranty claims will be processed promptly upon receipt of the defective rim and verification of the defect and purchase details. Light Travel will guide the customer through the required inspection and return authorization process.
7. Original Proof of Purchase: The warranty is valid upon presentation of the original sales receipt or invoice from an authorized Light Travel dealer, clearly showing the purchase date and rim model.
8. Precision & Performance: This warranty covers defects that impact the structural integrity, ride quality, or intended performance of the rim, such as delamination of carbon layers, resin flaws, or failure of the rim bed/brake track under normal use.

What This Warranty Does Not Cover (Excluded)

1. Accidents & Misuse: Any damage resulting from crashes, impacts, curb strikes, improper handling, or any form of accident, abuse, or negligence.
2. Improper Installation, Maintenance, or Use: Damage caused by incorrect installation (e.g., improper spoke tension, use of incompatible parts), lack of maintenance, or use outside of intended specifications (e.g., using road rims for downhill mountain biking, exceeding recommended system weight limits).
3. Wear & Tear: Normal wear and tear, including but not limited to cosmetic scratches, abrasions to the braking surface, decal fade, and minor cosmetic blemishes that do not affect structural integrity or performance.
4. Improper Repairs or Modifications: Any rim that has been repaired, altered, modified (e.g., drilled, cut, painted with non-compatible solvents), or serviced by anyone other than an authorized Light Travel technician voids this warranty immediately.
5. Transfer of Warranty: This Limited Warranty is valid only for the initial, original purchaser and is not transferable to any subsequent or secondary owners.
6. Consequential Damages & Warranty on Replacements: Light Travel is not liable for any consequential, incidental, or indirect damages. Furthermore, any replacement rim provided under this warranty is covered for the remainder of the original 5-year warranty period from the date of the initial purchase. The warranty does not restart with a replacement. Any issue with a warranty replacement must be reported within 14 days of receipt.
