Following the AR25-45 rim, and in response to requests from countless cycling enthusiasts, Light Travel Cycling launches the new AR25-50 carbon rim. This all-road rim series strikes an exquisite balance among aerodynamic performance, crosswind stability and wide tire compatibility. Dimensions & Specifications

All AR25-50 rims feature a 25mm internal width and 30.94mm external width. When paired with 28C–38C road tires, they form a smooth U-shaped aerodynamic profile.

50mm mid-deep rim depth: Optimised aerodynamic efficiency, ideal for flat terrain, rolling roads and competitive sprints

All rims are built to standard 700C , compatible with modern disc-brake road bikes, gravel bikes and cyclocross frames. Based on extensive rider feedback, a wide range of spoke hole options is available: 18H / 20H / 21H / 24H / 28H / 32H.

Two Weight Variants to Cover All Riding Needs

The AR25-50 comes in two factory-calibrated weight grades to suit riders of varying weights, training and racing demands:

Ultralight Version: 355±10g Constructed with lightweight carbon layup to reduce rotational inertia and deliver snappy pedalling response. It provides sharper climbing acceleration and direct sprint feedback, suited for lightweight riders and custom race wheel builds. Maximum rider weight limit: 100kg.

Standard Version: 385±10g Adopts reinforced carbon fiber layup with enhanced impact resistance and higher load capacity. Great for heavier riders, high-intensity daily training and long-distance gravel endurance rides. Maximum rider weight limit: 130kg.

Comprehensive Spoke Hole Configurations

The full AR25-50 range supports 18H / 20H / 21H / 24H / 28H / 32H hole layouts. Options span ultra-light low-spoke racing wheelsets, versatile all-road builds and high-stability heavy-duty assemblies. Whether your priority is minimising weight or maximising structural rigidity, you can find a suitable lacing solution.

Professional Drill Patterns (1:1 / 2:1 / G3)

To tackle common wheelbuilding challenges such as uneven spoke tension, rim deformation and power loss caused by different hub geometries, the AR25-50 is pre-drilled for three professional lacing layouts, allowing performance tuning for front/rear wheels and diverse riding scenarios.

The AR25-50 rim range supports fully personalised wheel builds. Compatible with both carbon and steel spokes, it works with the vast majority of mainstream road and gravel hubs on the market. Every rim undergoes strict quality inspection covering roundness, uniform spoke tension and impact resistance to ensure long-term reliability.

Custom Build Options — Build Your Ideal Wheels

Choose premium high-performance hubs including DT Swiss, Chris King and Extralite. Multiple freehub standards are supported: Shimano 11/12-speed, SRAM XDR and Campagnolo.
